ACCOUNTING & TAX MANAGER

Qualifications

MUST have 5 years of accounting experience = 3 years of professional tax experience = knowledge of Ultra Tax, QuickBooks and other technology (Microsoft Office, etc.) = high motivation and strong professionalism = exceptional communication skills (face-to-face, phone, virtual, written) = ability to multitask and stay organized = commitment to meeting deadlines = excellent response time = willingness to appear on camera for remote calls = a desire for more than just a job, but a career that allows for growth while having some fun, too.

In addition to the above requirements, preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, current CPA license or enrolled agent certification.

The Accounting & Tax Manager will:

• Supervise/assist bookkeepers in preparation of financial statements with monthly clients
• Handle new client installation and backwork
• Analyze financial statements and communicate with clients
• Prepare tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, and individuals
• Prepare financial projections
• Prepare tax projections and conduct tax planning meetings with clients
• Provide computer support to clients as needed
• Provide guidance and advice that helps clients make the right decisions for their business

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Are you great with numbers? Do you have an obsession with accuracy? Can you learn quickly, stay organized, and meet deadlines? Do your friends always ask you to split up the tab correctly? If that sounds like you—and you’re reliable, hard-working, and positive to boot—our Staff Accountant role could be a great fit.

Qualifications

No experience is necessary.

The Staff Accountant will:

• Review and prepare client accounting data
• Review monthly financial reports
• Reconcile bank statements
• Adjust journal entries
• Support payroll, including check writing, accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Prepare year-end W2s and 1099s
• Prepare sales tax returns
• Analyze and reconcile accounts
• Perform other duties as necessary and/or assigned

Our team provides important guidance and advice that often goes beyond the numbers. The right person for this role will be comfortable meeting with clients and have strong communication skills.
